可惜，美洲鹤人工引入野外种群今年无一繁殖成功

11个巢最后都被抛弃，只好再次实行人工孵化。

不知道朱鹮重新引入浙江繁殖的怎么样了，只看到过简单的报道，就没有后续了。

Whooping Crane Nest Update, May 11, 2008

I’m very sad to report that of the 11 Whooping Crane nests this spring, unfortunately, none of the cranes hatched a chick. The cranes deserted their nests before incubation was complete. When ICF and USFWS biologists checked on the deserted nests, several of the nests contained infertile eggs, shell fragments, or the nests were empty. Of the 11 nests, nine were located on Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, one in Wood County, and one on the Meadow Valley State Wildlife Area. On the bright side, however, biologists were able to collect six fertile eggs from the nests. The eggs were initially brought to ICF for incubation and then sent to Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Maryland. The chicks will become part of this year’s ultralight-led cohort.
