2008年蒙古环志信息！

截止目前，去年的禽流感项目环志队（环志大天鹅）在蒙古国又环志了5百余大天鹅、豆雁、鸿雁、斑头雁，仍然使用了彩色编码颈环，预计这个越冬期的观察结果会比较热闹。

另外，他们还环志了shorebirds，在右腿佩带上蓝下绿旗标，他们预计会环志上千的shorebirds,看到上蓝下绿这样的旗标组合就代表蒙古的.

环志结束，应该会通报更详细的通报，到时再补充。

I am pleased to report that so far we have had an excellent season and thus far have marked around one thousand birds. Of these 558 were marked with neck collars, and we are currently focusing on leg flagging migrant shorebirds. I have just prepared a summary of our 2008 work so far to update the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (see attached), and will follow up with a more comprehensive breakdown once the season is complete in mid September.

To summarize our colour marking so far:

104 Whooper Swans were fitted with red collars with white letters (A series and C series)

68 Bean Geese were fitted with yellow collars with black letters (L series and P series)

151 Swan Geese were fitted with orange collars with black letters (A series and C series)

249 Bar-headed Geese were fitted with yellow collars with black letters (Series, A, B, C, D, E, F, J, N, P, R, S, T, U, V)

27+ shorebirds fitted with leg flags in combination blue over green on right legs.2008
